Dustin Poirier looks more bulky alias contains more. Will this UFC fighter move from lightweight to welterweight?
Dustin Poirier posted his latest photo on his personal Instagram. Seen, the body of 'The Diamond' is fuller!
Reporting from MMA Junkie, Dustin Poirier is believed to be changing classes at the UFC. That's because, twice Poirier has failed to fight for the championship belt in the lightweight class.
Poirier lost to Khabib Nurmagomedov in 2019. Then in December 2021, Poirier again lost to Charles Oliveira.
Both defeats were obtained via rear naked choke attacks, aka neck locks from behind.
Dustin Poirier himself once said that he was at his lowest point. The 32-year-old fighter, it seems that there is no longer a chance to become a champion in the UFC lightweight class.
"I don't know, I seem to be changing classes. My chances seem to have been closed in the lightweight class, let alone many other great fighters," he said.
Dustin Poirier has been in the UFC since 2011. During that time, Poirier has played in the featherweight and lightweight divisions.
His best achievement is the interim champion in the UFC lightweight class. Now it could be, Poirier will try the welterweight and try his luck there.
